East Isles Blotter: Week of April 6 — A Quieter Week, Led by Vehicle Thefts

An assault was reported June 4 near the intersection of West 27th Street and East Lake of the Isles Parkway. Two days earlier, on June 2, a theft was logged on the 2400 block of Humboldt Avenue South and a motor-vehicle report on the 1500 block of Lagoon Avenue. Locations are published only at the block level, as the city publishes them.

Vehicle prowls and thefts remain the steadiest complaint here. Since May 1, Minneapolis Police data shows 27 incidents in East Isles, 14 of them vehicle-related and nine thefts, with the commercial stretch along West Lake Street, Lagoon Avenue and Hennepin Avenue drawing repeated theft reports.

These are initial reports and may be reclassified or revised as cases are reviewed; anyone arrested or charged is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. The 5th Precinct, which covers East Isles, asks residents to lock vehicles, take valuables inside, and share doorbell or dash-camera footage that can help connect cases.
