Lowry Hill Blotter: Week of May 18 — A Quieter Week, Led by Vehicle Thefts

Two of the three reports came from the 1800 block of Girard Avenue South, where parts were taken from vehicles on May 18 and again on May 24. The third was a theft of vehicle parts on the 800 block of Mount Curve Avenue on May 22. Catalytic converters are the most common target in this category of report.

There were no assaults, burglaries or stolen vehicles logged in the neighborhood that week. All locations are published at the block level by the city, and these entries are initial reports; anyone arrested or charged is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The counts come from the Minneapolis Police Department's Police Incidents 2026 dataset and may be revised as cases are reviewed. Residents can report tips, including doorbell and dash-camera footage, to the MPD 5th Precinct, which covers Lowry Hill.
