An owner heard sawing on the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue South and found the converter gone.

The owner of a car parked on the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue South in the Wedge heard sawing, went outside, and later found the catalytic converter gone, according to the report. No arrest has been announced.

A welded shield, an etched serial number and a well-lit parking spot all help. If you hear sawing near the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue South, the 5th Precinct asks that you call it in while it is happening; reports also take through 311.
