Recent property-crime reports in Lowry Hill were dominated by vehicle break-ins, with a cluster on the 1800 block of Girard Avenue South.

Here is a block-by-block rundown of recent property-crime reports in Lowry Hill, drawn from Minneapolis Police Department incident data published through the city's open-data portal. Locations are given to the block only; we do not name residents, victims or anyone who has only been charged. Nearly all of the activity was property crime rather than violence.
The clearest pattern was vehicle crime. The 1800 block of Girard Avenue South saw repeated reports in May, including vehicle incidents on May 12, May 18 and May 24, plus a burglary and a theft both reported on May 14. Other vehicle reports came in across the neighborhood: the 2000 block of Fremont Avenue South and Groveland Terrace on May 13, the 800 block of Mount Curve Avenue on May 22, and the 1100 block of Summit Avenue on both May 26 and June 1. A vehicle incident was also reported on the 700 block of Vineland Place on May 29.
The exception to the property-crime trend was an assault reported on the 1900 block of Humboldt Avenue South on May 29.
Residents can file reports through 311 or directly with the Minneapolis Police Department's 5th Precinct, and sharing doorbell-camera footage helps officers connect incidents across nearby blocks. The Lowry Hill Neighborhood Association's "Leave A Light On" campaign continues to push exterior lighting and locked doors as inexpensive deterrents. Patterns show up only when neighbors report, including the incidents that feel too minor to bother with.
